Role Purpose

We're looking for a Manager, Commercial Finance to join our team! The purpose of the role is to maximize WGS profitability by supporting the VP Finance and Director of Commercial Finance to coordinate, consolidate and report on both volumetric and financial performance across the US markets providing a central resource in achieving brand & financial goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide financial interface for the US Region Finance teams on commercial finance matters relating to the business unit financial management and performance.

• Manage the delivery of the financial objectives of the US Business Unit, ensuring strong commercial and financial analysis, a robust control environment, and a strong focus on driving financial performance and effectiveness

• Manage the Commercial Purchasing Analyst team and support the commercial team’s usage of Trade Promotion Management system.

• Deliver financial rigor, analysis and decision support consistent with the company strategy. Safeguard company assets, monitoring financial performance, ensuring company operations conform to applicable legislation and there is a fully robust control environment.

• Provide financial interface for the US Region Finance teams on commercial finance matters relating to the business unit financial management and performance.

• Provide monthly business/sales analysis to business unit including depletion analysis (flash and mid-month), competitive activity (NABCA), depletion P&Ls and NSV analysis.

• Support VP of finance and Director of Commercial Finance in the preparation of Budget/LE’s and R&O’s

• Support standardized volume and financial reporting to the US business and provide financial analysis/commentary, as appropriate.

• Support the development of insightful decision making tools and analysis to drive financial performance and to deliver financial goals and objectives of the business unit.

• Highlight and assess the risks, issues, trends and opportunities within the commercial team, providing financially focused business insight and analysis to support commercial business decision making.

• Provide financial guidance to support the Trade Promotion Management application, including, overall commercial direction of the tool and annual planning process.

• Provide comprehensive monthly internal and distributor spend analysis. • Manage and provide support to the Commercial Purchasing Analyst team.

• Manage along with the Director any requests from our annual financial audits that pertain to TPM and commercial finance.

• Produce monthly and ad hoc reporting to Sales, Marketing, WG&S USA Executive team and UK head office as required.

• Assist the Director in the preparation of the monthly and year end APCD accruals for the sales regions • Partner with Commercial teams, Ops and Finance leadership tracking year-end shipments focusing on DOI deliverable • Commercial finance liaison with US – GTS providing feedback on data issues for all the systems (TPM, Qlikview & IFS).

• Primary back up for Commercial Finance Director Key Relationships: Senior VP Sales, Region Finance teams, Commercial Teams, Finance Leadership, Controller, Revenue Management, Commercial Analytics, Operations, Compliance & GTS

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have experience managing people and/or demonstrated strong support of commercial teams

• Strong commercial finance acumen, particularly in the spirits industry • Strong analytical ability and business acumen

• Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts (GAAP)

• Strong communication, organizational and task management skills

• Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Broad database and data management skills

• Orientation to detail, with a specific focus on accuracy

• Ability to multi-task many items at once in a deadline driven environment

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required; Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferable
