We are looking for you to support, maintain, upgrade and install Information Technology systems and applications used within the company to both maintain and enhance efficiencies and performance of the company’s operating systems.
Based from our Head Office in Bellshill, this role will support and enable the ambitious plans of a growing global spirits company with a portfolio of premium brands, including Glenfiddich, Hendricks Gin and Grant's whisky to name but a few.
Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures
Proactively advise, assist and engage on delivery of underlying technical infrastructure to support the delivery of technical projects
Ensure that all second and third line infrastructure engineering support requests are appropriately prioritized and resolved with within the required service level agreements
Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures
Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations in line with systems upgrades and/or any merger and acquisition activity
Plan and execute system testing necessary for new and upgraded Infrastructure installations prior to release in the live environment to ensure continuity of service.
Assist with the implementation of policy and strategy for WG&S information technology systems to ensure that staff and computer systems comply with legislative and organisational requirements
Provide project support, SME input and operational support across all Datacentre systems
Configure, monitor and maintain systems within predefined targets set with the business
Work collaboratively with 3rd party support services on diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to the WG&S operating environments
Maintain an awareness of industry technological developments and identify opportunities to implement new or improved enterprise solutions to provide a more efficient and effective service to the business
You will have a track record of technical experience of global infrastructure operations delivery, support and data centre technologies. A specialist area of technical capability i.e. – Application Delivery, VMWare technologies, Microsoft technologies (AD, RDS, Office365, Server 2012r2/2016), Storage, Compute, Networking (Router, Switch, Firewall, Wireless). Certification in a technical specialism and experience of working with both a BAU and Project environment. Working knowledge of ITIL & IT Service Management
